Remembering Grace Corrigan

We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Grace Corrigan, mother of Teacher in Space Christa McAuliffe.

Following the Challenger accident in 1986, Mrs. Corrigan devoted her time to advocating for education. A teacher herself, Mrs. Corrigan shared her daughter’s passion for inspiring the next generation, speaking to students and sharing Christa’s story whenever she had the opportunity. She often visited and spoke to students at Challenger Learning Centers including the Challenger Learning Center at Christa McAuliffe Center for Integrated Science Learning in her hometown of Framingham, Mass. Mrs. Corrigan was instrumental in the creation of Challenger Center and we are honored to have had the opportunity to work with her to carry on the legacy of Christa and the entire Challenger crew.

We send our heartfelt sympathy to Mrs. Corrigan’s family and friends.
