Next-generation explorers needed for missions to the Moon, Mars, and beyond. Curiosity, creativity, and courage are a must. Excellent benefits, including the opportunity to discover things no one in the world has seen.
I never cared for science much. But then I came to the Learning Center, and I got to act like an astronaut for a couple of hours. I saw that science and math aren't just things you learn. They are things you use! I got some books on Mars from the library, and I've been learning more about the Solar System ever since. I don't think I will ever become an astronaut or someone at Mission Control, but a career in science (even teaching science) is now a possibility.
While your first space mission may still be a few years off, we’ve put together this area especially for students so you can start exploring today!
The Challenger Story
Why is Challenger Center named after a Space Shuttle? Who came up with the idea to let kids fly space missions? How long have there been Challenger Learning Centers? Who were the people who flew on the Challenger Space Shuttle? Find out the answers to these questions and more.
Astronauts & Scientists
Imagine if your typical day at the office involved studying questions with no answers, coming up with new experiments to test your ideas, or even training for weightlessness! Astronauts and scientists do this every day. When work is this exciting, can you really still call it work? See what they have to say in response to questions from kids just like you!, and check out some amazing career profiles.
