Launched on March 15, 2009 the STS-119 crewmembers include Joseph M. Acaba and Richard R. Arnold, educator astronauts following in the footsteps of Barbara Morgan, back-up to Christa McAuliffe, Teacher in Space. They participated in several spacewalks, so the education focus for the mission is spacesuits and spacewalks. Listen to Challenger Center's podcast about the spacewalks on the STS-119 mission and new experiments in biocontamination procedures. Listen to Challenger's recent podcast about the educator astronauts and the STS-119 mission. NASA created a web site in support of this activity at www.nasa.gov/education/spacesuits.
