CHALLENGER PREMIUMPODCASTS/VODCASTS CHANNEL

Challenger Center is pleased to announce the first in a series of inspirational interviews with people who have been the first to achieve a unique accomplishment. The goal of the new series is to introduce important role models to children through their life stories.

These conversations are suitable for all ages and are particularly targeted to middle school students who can benefit from real life lessons highlighting the important character traits of trustworthiness, responsibility, caring, respect, fairness, and citizenship.

  • Astronaut Robert L. Crippen served as pilot on the first space shuttle mission, STS-1, the first orbital test flight of the Shuttle Columbia. He commanded three more shuttle missions and has logged over 565 hours in space, orbited the earth 374 times and traveled over 9.4 million miles.
