PACCT
Parents And Children as Co-Travelers in a World of Ideas

If you like exploring, learning about cutting edge space science or flying a mission at the Challenger Learning Center, you gotta do this! It’s new programming for family teams (for Junior, grades 5 and 6, and Cadette Girl Scouts). Check out the patch (above) and four different program opportunities…

Patch Program: Participation in a Lunar Challenge or any two of the following listed programs as a parent/child team qualifies you for the PACCT/Girl Scout Patch.

Visit the Future: "Walk in the shoes of scientists" as you learn about their careers and work together to solve hands-on problems typical of their field. Each session in this series of evenings, held at a Challenger Learning Center, focuses on a guest scientist and career.

Discovery Mission: Play the role of scientists and engineers involved with NASA’s unmanned space missions as you prepare to fly your simulated mission: Return to the Moon, Rendezvous with a Comet, or Voyage to Mars, held at a Challenger Learning Center.

Lunar Challenge: Work together over several evenings with other family teams to design and construct a model of a lunar colony to meet your needs as the first International Lunar Colonists. No technical experience required! This program is typically held in schools.

Crew Training: Fun, home-based activities available only to scouts whose school class has booked a Challenger Mission through the PACCT program.

To Register: For all but Crew Training, you can enroll as an individual family team or get your whole troop involved by calling a participating Challenger Learning Center near you.
