District Resource Teams (DRTs) are the critical link between CLCs and participating families. They are comprised of at least one teacher, parent, and administrator from each participating community and act as information resources for other teachers and families. For a district who has committed to embracing PACCT, the DRT will be invaluable to their success with the program. DRT Composition
DRT RolesAdministrator: To be the team leader and primary contact for the CLC. This person should accept the responsibility for the success of PACCT in their district and should provide the necessary management guidance within the district to support the other team members and the needs of the CLC. For a district hosting a Lunar Challenge event, the Administrator will need to determine the school to be used, secure the necessary approvals, recruit the Adjunct Faculty member (paid by the CLC), and participate in the recruitment of program mentors. They should plan to attend the first half of the DRT workshop at the beginning of the school year.Teacher: To be the primary contact within a school. The Teacher Rep is responsible for training all other participating teachers in their school on the use of Crew Training activities and for insuring the timely return of assessment data to the CLC. They are also asked to coordinate the distribution of Outreach materials to all participating classes and function as an information resource at-large for PACCT program information. They need to attend the DRT workshop at the beginning of the school year. Parent: To be the primary PACCT information resource for families within the participating school. They should seek to enroll a parent from each participating class and provide them with training and support.
