Using space exploration as a theme, Challenger Center creates positive learning experiences that raise students’ expectations of success; foster a long-term interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics; and motivate them to pursue careers in these fields.
Colorado Springs is heavily invested in space programs. When we employ space mission simulations to attract students into mathematics, science, and technology careers, we are filling the pipeline for very lucrative and exciting careers right here in our community. Industry and others are beginning to understand that value.
