Mission Statement
The Challenger Learning Center of Greater Rochester, located at the Rochester Museum and Science Center, has been changing the way students learn about mathematics, science, and technology since 1992.
In the last few years, new activities have been added to the program that directly align with the New York state mathematics, science, and technology standards. Activities have been designed specifically to provide practice for the New York State Intermediate Science Performance Exam.
As part of the internationally recognized network of Challenger Learning Centers, our program uses the power of simulation to create an exciting cooperative learning environment. After transforming into astronauts and scientists, students are exposed to the challenges and rewards of teamwork, problem solving, communication, and decision-making.
