Brownsburg Challenger Learning Center, in partnership with community leaders and educators, integrates science, mathematics, and technology to provide a learning experience that incorporates communications, teamwork, responsible decision-making, and critical thinking skills.

Programs

Mission Scenarios

Videoconference (Distance Learning)

Brownsburg Challenger Learning Center offers a wide variety of programs to K-8 students throughout the United States via videoconferencing. These programs, aligned to Indiana Academic Standards, are written and presented by Learning Center Flight Directors (teachers certified by the state of Indiana), and use interactive learning to engage students.

Corporate Missions

The Learning Center offers area businesses and civic groups the opportunity to focus on teamwork and communication skills by experiencing a simulated space mission.

ARIES

The Learning Center offers astronomy-based teacher workshops, part of the ARIES curriculum, developed by the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics and funded by the National Science Foundation. These workshops address a number of curricular areas, and have been aligned with the National Research Council Science Standards, the National Science Education Content Standards, and the Indiana State Science Standards.
